Get out the File, Hammer and Sandpaper Here’s the problem. Very little effort was made to “finish” this product. Metal workers would say, “Poor fit and finish.” Consult the photos. That shiny white line on the edge in one photo is a raised metal flesh-slashing burr. Sharp enough to use as a cabinet scraper. The other photo shows raised and buckled (probably when the rivets were set) metal joinery that: a) exposes more sharp slashers and b) opens the joint to food and muck. Not the most sanitary. Great peel at a great price. This peel works very well, and was a fantastic price. I love mine and will be measuring my parents outdoor stone pizza oven to see if it will fit through the door of theirs so I can gift them one as well since they are constantly throwing pizza parties and even with their 3 current peels it seems that at times either the baker (my dad) is waiting for a raw pizza from the assembler (my stepmom) or the assembler is waiting for a peel. While their wood pizza peels are nice looking I hear too much…
Quality and Value – Great for BlackStone Pizza Oven. I was impressed with the overall build for this pizza Peel from American Metalcraft! I ordered the 39.5″ which was plenty big for loading my Blackstone Pizza oven. The width of the peel was approximately the size of the 16.5″ pizza stone I was using. The handle is long enough to provide adequate loading and unloading the pizza from the stone. It came well packed in a large over-sized box. This is a winner at a great price!
