I prepare my pizzas on parchment paper, then use this to slide the pizzas (on the paper) into the oven onto my pizza stone. After cooking for 1 min, I remove the parchment paper by using the pizza peel and an oven mitt. Great Pizza Peel – Just Dumb User This peel is great. no more burnt fingers. Just don’t do like I did on the first use and forget to put something like cornmeal on the peel so the pizza slides easily. I hand New-York Style dough, home made pizza sauce, fresh Italian sausage, potabella mushrooms, lots of fresh grated mozzarella, and fresh Parmesan.
