**Use & Care**
Wash Ironwood Gourmet products in warm, soapy water and thoroughly rinse with clean water. Do not soak. To dry, wipe off excess water with a clean towel and prop up off of counter to allow all surfaces to air dry evenly. Wood products should never be washed in the dishwasher.
After drying, rejuvenate and protect the wood by rubbing it down with Ironwood Butcher Block Oil. Apply the oil liberally and allow it to soak in thoroughly before use. Regular application of our Butcher Block Oil will prevent cracking and preserve the rich natural colors of the wood.
Cracks in less than a month! It’s beautiful-looking, but in less than a month, the wood had split on this peel. Not only had the pieces of wood separated from each other, one of the pieces itself had cracked. Sorry, but it’s going back.
Too thick and splintering wood. It’s too thick, but that’s the least of the problems with this peel.The bigger issue is the splintering after one light hand wash. I don’t like little pieces of wood in my pizza or stuck in my throat.Fake/purchased reviews?
Shocked! Shocked! I was so busy admiring the beauty of this board and reading the good ratings, I neglected to pay attention to the 1-star reviews. Once I did read them, I realized I was not alone in my experience. I received the peel and upon reading the instructions that came with it, set it aside, ordered the recommended wood oil and waited. It was very hard bc I wanted to use it right away. But, I wanted to truly give this item the proper care. Once I got the oil I applied it and let it soak in…
