Excellent Peel and excellent customer service from Baker’s Board I love this peel. It’s not only a beautiful, well made peel but it works great and is easy to store for it’s size. I had a hard time finding a peel this size with a short handle so it would be easy to store. I was reluctant to pay $50 but it was worth it in the end. Sending basswood, hoping no one notices itâs not cherry. I bought a GOURMET version 16 inch. Itâs beautiful.I then bought the 14 inch GOURMET (made of cherry wood) version, and they shipped a duller, lower quality basswood version. Itâs a pain to return, and itâs such a cluster, I donât know how to get the right one.Update – I didnât know one would arrive oiled and one unoiled. All I had to do was apply food grade mineral oil and it looks like the first one.
